July 11th 10am-2pm EST
This training offers mental health professionals an introduction to using art and expressive modalities in therapy. Because art speaks beyond words, it provides a powerful way for clients to explore their stories, emotions, and relationships. Participants will gain foundational knowledge of materials, engage in experiential art activities, and learn practical directives to support clients in self-discovery and healing.
Learning Objectives:
1. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of expressive modalities and be able to identify which materials and directives to use with therapy clients based on population, presenting problems, and treatment plan.
2. Participants will be able to utilize three or more new art-based directives in the therapy space.
3. Participants will be able to utilize art making in their own personal self-care and processing practice as clinicians.
4. Participants will build insight into how art can be used in exploring relational dynamics.
This is a live, virtual training. The recording will be available after the live event.
